Member Testimonials
As a small, grassroots nonprofit, R.E.A.D. continues to grow our program and resources with the support of the Lakeshore Nonprofit Alliance (LNA). Our membership in the LNA enables our staff, board and volunteers to share ideas and collaborate with other Ottawa County nonprofits and take advantage of the relevant, varied, in-depth LNA workshops and training.
– R.E.A.D.
The Lakeshore Nonprofit Alliance (LNA) is an indispensable resource for nonprofit organizations. For a very reasonable membership fee, LNA provides development opportunities for all aspects of nonprofit leadership. Since I was new to my role as an Executive Director, the Board Certification Workshop and Lunch N’Learns have been very beneficial to me. However, the most important function of LNA is that they are facilitators of collaboration in our sector. Nonprofits are truly better when we work together, and Robin has been instrumental in forging connections between Executive Directors of other arts organizations and me. LNA represents and promotes the ideals of what nonprofit collaboration can look like in our area, and this makes our area a better place to live, work, and thrive for not just nonprofit organizations but all citizens of our community.

I am so grateful for LNA and the training classes they offer! Being a new Development Director and coming on board with a fairly new non-profit, I had lots to learn. The training classes helped me write a development plan and recruit and train volunteers. Best practices are critical to put in place in a non-profit startup and LNA is where I get all my answers. LNA provides all my needs and more! The group atmosphere provides encouragement, collaboration and new ideas so that my non-profit can make a huge community impact in an efficient way.
– Grant Me Hope
We appreciate all the work and effort the Lakeshore Nonprofit Alliance has invested in our area. From the strength of their educational offerings to the streamlining of services that benefits all non-profit members, LNA is truly an asset to our whole community.
– Community Relations Department, Holland Hospital
Job posting on the Lakeshore NonProfit webpage has brought outstanding results. Over the past few years we have hired a number of great staff who ‘found us’ through this site.
– Evergreen Commons
LNA is a refreshing non profit that is leveraging the best of the industry on behalf of real people by bringing what has been leveraged to meet real non profit organization needs. As a Board member, I learn something from LNA with every interaction. As a non profit leader I and my colleagues are inspired to do more and equipped for excellence with every LNA interaction. Thank you!
– Ready for School
With so many nonprofits in our area, LNA does the important work of fostering partnership and collaboration among the different organizations. Our staff utilizes resources such as learning circles, the HR hotline, and strategic planning facilitation which provides networking opportunities and a fresh outlook on the work we do and the direction in which we are going.
